As have explained in part 3, if the number of labor force increases, because the data come from America and in America most of people go to work by automobile, so the demand of automobile increases, then the sale rate of automobiles will increase as employment condition gets better.
As demand of automobile increase, the firm would like to improve productivity by advance of technology. Thus the cost per unit will falling, one can buy the same automobile at lower price, so income increases relatively. Then the saved money from a lower price of automobile could spend on other goods like durable.
However, automobile affect durable negatively, because when people bought automobile they cannot buy the same quantity durable as before. In other words, most civilians see automobile like durable and they cannot afford too much durable at same time, so automobile affect durable negatively. So labor force affect durable positively.
