The chart shows information relating to the Western Australia’s net migration which includes the aggregate of overseas and interstate . All the numbers from the periods 1981 to 1996 are given by the figure.
There was a sudden fall in the number of 5,000 in 1984, this may be due to some Western Australia residents left the state in the three years.
Over the next four years, the amount of migration has risen in general and peaked in 1988, it is about 30,000 migrations. There is a little decrease in 1987, around the number of 25,000. From the information given by the following four years, it can be seen that the dramatic decrease around 30,000 in 1988, to 5,000 in 1992, that may be a result of government control. From 1993, the Western Australia’s migration has a significant increase, that means more and more overseas and interstate migration moved in to there.
From the figure, it can be concluded that the figure of net migration into Western Australia is not steady. When
