合成定语从句

只能说成The girl who lost her way last night is Mrs. Smith's daughter. 不好照楼主的方式说，因为英语里的定语从句，应该跟在被它修饰的词(即先行词)的后面，除非是非限制性定语从句。
换句话说，定语从句和先行词之间，不可以有其他句子成份，除了定语。这句话里说的除了定语的意思是指：一个名词，它除了一个定语从句之外，还可以有其他的短语作宾语，这些作定语的短语，应该放在定语从句的前面，因为比较长的句子成份在句子中的位置就靠后。比如说：He is the only one of the students who has passed the exam. 他是这帮学生中唯一通过考试的。这个句子中，who引导的定语从句跟先行词one被of the students分开了，而of the students也是one的定语。
