This movie shows the political war between Scotland and England, for Scotland's fight to be independent of England. In this movie, Mel Gibson performs William Wallace who is the leader of the war.

William Wallace is a free Scottish commoner whose father and brother were killed by the King of England when he was a young boy. He led the Scotland to resist the strong England. His heart defied a king. He is a real warrior. Before the battle, He always said that: they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom. His courage inspired the whole country.
His passion captivated a beautiful woman. During the battle for freedom, William Wallace falls in love with the French Princess who is performed by Sophie Marceau.
