the book of history... 是整个书都是讲历史的。。这本书属于历史。。

the book about histor..这本书是有关历史的。。 没有上面那么肯定。因为这本书可能还有别的内容。。

所以第一个学术性强些。。

book of history = history book = 历史书
book about history = 关于历史的书
英文两者的差别就和中文翻译的差别差不多
