史铁生：男，汉族，1951年生于北京。1967年初中毕业。1969年去陕西延安地区插队，1972年双腿瘫痪转回北京。1974年始在北京某街道工厂做工，历时七年；其间自学写作。后因急性肾损伤，回家疗养。1979年始有文学作品发表。1997年当选北京作协副主席。主要作品有：中短篇小说集《我的遥远的清平湾》、《命若琴弦》、《老屋小记》、《往事》；长篇小说《务虚笔记》；散文、随笔集《我与地坛》、《病隙碎笔》。其作品多次获奖，某些篇章被译成外文在海外出版。最备受瞩目的是获得华语文学传媒大奖2002年度杰出成就奖。
