In Australia,people like to have party which can meet each other and have fun.Before going to the Party,people need to prepare what to bring to the Party.They call this:"bring a plate" to the Party.
Most people will bring some food, like donuts or pasta.Some people might bring wines or other drinks.Then they share together which is very different from Chinese culture where the party holders have to prepare all the food or drinks to their guests.
