第三章通过对某市高中学生的匿名调查问卷为背景进行了研究。发现他们的动机观念，从而引起英语教师对学生学习动机的进一步重视，并为培养学生英语学习动机提供依据。
第四章中，作者以调查结果为依据，针对学生的动机观念，从内在动机和外在动机两个大方面进行比较分析。对如何提高高中生英语学习动机提出了一些建议。
The first Chapter introduces the importance of the funtion of motivation in English study.
The second chapter reviews the reference and sorts the motivations of students out.
The third chapter gives the research on backgroud through the anonymous investgation to high school students, we can enhance the focus of English teachers on students' motivations and give the evidence of motivation education.
In the fourth chapter ,the author gives the analysis from interner and externer motivations by the investgation and gives several suggestions about how to rais the students' motivaiton.
