在我国的旅游业中，线路的设计及旅游方式都过于模式化,在旅游市场的竞争之中，为了提高竞争力，从而要提供更多的个性化服务。而特种旅游就是为了迎合这一发展所产生的新型旅游方式。目前在我国，还是刚刚起步的阶段。 在我国旅游业大发展的同时，各类旅游形式正竞相发展。这其中以常规旅游为主要形式，而特种旅游亦在悄然兴起,并有蓬勃发展的势头。本文试就特种旅游的几个基本问题谈点看法和意见。
随着我国旅游事业在近几年的蓬勃发展，传统的旅游方式已经不能在满足出游人们的需要。而是应该在观光旅游和度假旅游等常规旅游基础上的提高，是对传统常规旅游形式的一种发展和深化，在旅游竞争激烈的今天更应开发新的产品提高竞争力，因此特色旅游活动产品悄然兴起。而特种旅游就是这样一种旅游产品。所以本文就对特种旅游的定义及其对未来旅游业的发展做了介绍。和我省在这种新型旅游产品的开发与运用进行探讨。
