不同的地域有着不同的自然环境，作为人与自然中介的建筑，对外应有利于形成小区外部环境，对内应有利于保障人居的室内环境。建筑应该像植物一样，落地生根，合天时地利，适宜于地区自然环境的要求，与大自然融为一体。而建筑既要服从自然环境，又要服务于地域文化。不同国家和民族，不同的文化背景和历史形态，造就了丰富多彩的建筑文化。随着人类文化交往的日益频繁，东西建筑艺术的相互渗透、相互影响也在所难免。随着人类社会的不断发展和进步，建筑文化水平也在飞快的发展，中国现代建筑正在朝着重视生态、环保、节能、可持续发展，并具有为公共大众服务和各自特色的方向转变。同时我们也应该看到作为一个生产力比较落后的发展中国家，我们出现了一些不全面甚至是错误的思想，如何认识和解决在这个过程中存在的错误认识、思想和做法成为当务之急。
本文通过对这些问题的研究和分析提出了一些可行性的方法和对策以及对将来的发展方向提出了一些建议。
