本文结合财务管理、经济学、货币银行学和管理学等知识，学习吸收国内外学者在分析和控制中小企业财务风险方面的先进理念，通过对中小企业在生产经营活动的三个环节中所面临的财务风险——“举债筹资风险过大”、“投资决策失误和成本控制不善”、“应收帐款管理不当”等现状，及其对中小型企业由于内部控制不当而产生的内部会计控制和内部管理控制方面的财务风险进行分析。最后针对中小企业面临的这些财务风险问题提出可行性建议，包括“加强企业财务活动风险管理”、“加强企业内部控制力度”等方法，从而达到降低风险发生的概率，减小风险损失，提高经济效益的目的。
同时，本文还介绍了一些新颖的财务风险融资手段，通过保理融资、中小企业合作性融资安排和二板市场股权融资等方式对于中小企业开辟融资新途径有着启示性的作用。
