本文以汽车租赁系统软件为例,探讨了基于UML的系统需求分析的设计方法。使用的建模工具为rational rose 2003，通过需求陈述，建立用例图，定义类，建立类图，活动图完成整体模型。
图形化建模语言UML的复杂性一直是其无法得到广泛应用的主要障碍。给出了一种利用UML中的Use Case从用户和业务两种模式系统进行需求分析的方法，可以很好地简化系统建模，这种用户和业务模式方法在汽车租赁系统的开发中被证明能更好发挥UML的优点，提高系统开发效率。
