为什么用ont only ; but also?我觉的应该是Both;and呀！
2.The farmers are plangting trees on the hill near thier village.They want to ___the environment.
答案是improve.我选的是Set up,怎么错了？

因为 后面的系动词是is 所以不能用 both and 否则要用are

improve是 改进 改善

set up 创立 建立 你说那个通顺阿 set up根本不通阿

not only,but also做主语,谓语是就近原则,both and做主语谓语一定用复数,所以肯定不对
improve是改善的意思,set up是建立的意思,意思上说不通

jim后跟的是is 如果是用both and的话 要跟are. setup是建立 improve是提高 环境不能建立能提高
