2.0 DESIGN VERIFICATION (DV)
2.1 Overall Test Requirements
Design Verification shall be performed by DaimlerChrysler Engineering or by the supplier at the discretion of
DaimlerChrysler Vehicle Engineering. Refer to the applicable quote package and DaimlerChrysler
Performance Standard. All test methodology and results shall be documented and included in a Design
Verification Plan. Note: “Supplier” refers to internal as well as external suppliers unless otherwise
indicated.
2.2 Part Approval Requirements
DaimlerChrysler shall approve the selection of initial samples used for Design Verification testing as well
as concur with test results. The supplier shall make available records of all testing. Numerical data must
be shown on all key characteristics. DV testing shall be successfully completed before parts are delivered
for S0 Material Required Date (MRD.)
