predict和foretell 有什么区别呢？

foretell--
To tell of or indicate beforehand; predict.
预言，预示事先告知或暗示；预示
foretelling the future;
预示未来；
foretold the collapse of the government;
预言政府的倒台；
predict与forecast在预测、预报方面可以通用，而foretell只作“预言、预示”解。

predict---
To foretell something;

预报日（月）蚀；
predict rain for tomorrow
预告明天有雨
（常与that连用）预言；预测；预示
She predicted that he would marry a doctor.
