随着人们对生活和工作环境的安全性要求的不断提高，建筑物的安全防范系统的重要性就越来越突出。其中，视频监控系统以其直观、方便、信息内容丰富的特点越来越受到人们的重视，使其成为安全防范系统的重要组成部分。视频监控系统主要由主控站,被控站和前端设备组成，本文设计了一种基于80C51单片机的视频监控系统的主控站,论述了视频监控系统主控站的工作原理和设计方法。
本文先对该系统所涉及的一些基础理论进行了分析，在对方案进行比较确定后，介绍了系统的总体设计思路和具体的软硬件设计工作，在介绍系统的硬件时，主要对硬件的重要组成部分键盘扫描，单片机的串口通信以及单片机在传输中的抗干扰设计等进行了讨论。在抗干扰的设计中有硬件如光电隔离器，软件方面有键盘延时去抖等。本文考虑到性价比采用了8155作为I/O数据的扩展口芯片来满足系统的需要。
文中最后一部分对本次设计进行了总结并对未来视频监控的发展进行了展望。
