First of all, let us just explain what do the words "want" and "need" mean.
Need,someone (consumer) feel really hungry or cold, he or she would some food to eat or some cloth to wear, that is a kind of expection which is always related the physiology.
Want,at the first, people can not know the product, of course, they have no need, but after the promotion by the ads, people suddenly trend to have or want to try this product, that is WANT
I totally disagree with the point which mentioned as some guys justcriticize the ads create a wants over needs mentality in today's society.
It is so obvious that the market need ads to creat the wants.
people can not know what is the latest product without ads, as well as producers can not get customers , so the society would be crazy
If ads just pey attention the needs, image that, people just go to the market and buy somethings that just satisfy their basic need. The world goes wrong.
