本系统主要具有以下功能：书籍管理、读者管理、借阅管理、查询、报表、系统管理。一、书籍管理：包括图书类别管理和图书信息管理的信息添加、修改、删除。二、读者管理：包括读者类别管理和读者信息管理的信息输入、修改、删除。三、借阅管理：添加借书信息和还书信息。四、查询：包括图书信息浏览、查询、读者信息查询和借书信息查询。五、报表的生成。六、系统管理：设置、修改系统管理员的密码与权限。本文介绍了在Visual Basic6.0环境下开发本系统的详细过程，从图书的登记到查询，从读者类别到图书借阅，形成了图书信息自动化管理模式，从软件工程的角度进行了科学而严谨的阐述。
