Lightning in the Sky
天空中的闪电
In the nature lightning flashes across the sky.
在大自然中会有闪电划过天空。
it points down toward the earth.if the lightning hits a house or tree,it can start a fire.if it hits people,it canhurt them.
它径直指向大地。如果闪电击中了一座房子或者一棵树，就会起火。如果它击中了人，那么人就会受伤。
Today some people use lightning rods.these are long metal poles.people put them high up on the roofs of their houses.a wire runs from the rod down into the ground .
现如今有一些人使用避雷针，避雷针是一根长长的金属杆。人们把它们高高的放在房子上面，再用一根导线连接到地上。
In fact,now lighting will not hit the house.it hits the rod instead .the lightning goes down the rod and down the wire.it ends up in the ground.here,the lightning can't hurt anything.

事实上，这样的话闪电就不会击到房子上了，而是通过避雷针再通过导线传到大地。所以呢，闪电就无法造成伤害了。

于是今天人们开始使用避雷针。他们是一条长长的金属杆，人们把他放在屋顶的最高处，用一根电线沿着他一直导向地底。
