aero是希腊语 空气的前缀。
aeroplane就是airplane。plane和plain（平原）一词是同源异体。plane的本意是木工用的刨子，由于飞机和它长得狠像，所以飞机这玩意就叫“刨子”plane。（所以可见刨子（plane）是用来将木头刨平（plain）的）
made这里是make的过去时态。make a safe landing就是安全着陆咯。“做出”之意，不是“制造”之意。

我就是学航空的。那人说什么“aeroplane是直升机”你别信。直升机是helicopter，简称heli。aeroplane是对所有有翼飞机的总称。

aeroplane(airplane),plane,aircraft这几个词都可以解释为飞机。
aeroplane和airplane意思相同，只是拼写不同，前者为英国英语的拼法，后者为美国英语的拼法，这两个词都表示普通的飞机
