My First Feeling about Yali
Hello, every one. I’m Kathy. I’m very happy to take part in this competition. I’m sure that you must know the title of my lecture. That’s right, it’s My First Feeling about Yali.
In my primary school, every one told me that Yali is the most famous key school of Hunan. So I always wanted to study in this such as a wonderful middle school in that time. Now my dream has became true. I feel really cheerful but also a little nervous because Yali is so famous that many good students came to study here. It gave me too much stress, but the teacher gave me confident, I’m not afraid of it.
I have known more about Yali since I studied in it. The name Yali comes from the Analects of Confucius, “子所雅言，诗书执礼”，it’ s meaning elegance of expression (ya) and propriety of conduct (li) in English and is a translation of Yale.
