At first Kate thought nasha could not speak and understand english,because she didn`t reply to anything Kate said.Kate showed her around the school on her first day.she couldn`t understand why the school put Nasha inher class.
"you can`t learn if you can`t understand the teacher,"she said to Nasha.
"I undersand English was excellent.
Kate was surprised.she couldn`t understand why Nasha did not like to speak.then she realized that moving to a new country probably wasn`t the easiest thing to do.

一开始，凯特觉得娜沙既不会说也不能理解英文。因为她从来不回答凯特的话。凯特在娜沙来校的第一天带她参观学校。其实凯特有点不理解，为什么学校安排娜沙进了她的班级。
“如果你听不懂老师在说什么，那你就什么都学不到。”她告诉娜沙。
“我能很好的理解英语啊”
凯特非常惊讶，她不知道为什么娜沙不喜欢交谈。然后她意识到可能来到一个新国家并不是那么容易就适应。
“真的，”娜沙轻轻的说“我很难理解人们在说什么。比如昨天，有个男孩子问我能不能告诉他他带的那个薄薄的黑盒子上面哪个是USB。难道那不是第三个停船的位置么？”
“别着急，”凯特说：“你总会明白的。你看那个薄薄的黑盒子其实是个电脑。USB是个可以把其他机器链接到电脑上的插口。”
说完这些，凯特和娜沙都沉默了。她们开始记录数学老师给的笔记。让凯特惊讶的是，娜沙举手回答老师列举在黑板上的问题，而有些问题，真的很难。当老师说娜沙回答的完全正确是，全班同学都鼓起掌来。
娜沙笑咪咪的坐回到凯特身边。“有些东西啊，其实是全世界通用的（是说，这些数学题娜沙在国内就会）。”
