请懂英语的朋友看看我的英文名

it's for girls, not as good as other boy names. well i am an american, i feel it is pretty strange for been a boy name, because it's suppose to be a girl's name

i want to say that though the name suits girls better ,why can't it be used as a boy's name ?? many Chinese males use the character Hong ,means red ;also ,many Chinese women use Nan etc. means men in their names .

so i want to say ,though the first answer is quite reasonable ,hold your won ideal .better be special than be normal !
