Is being an idolater good or bad

It is good because,
1, express you true love of someone but no need to conceal something which is quite a democratic thing;
2, can learn from ones idol and work hard to become an idol;
3, to some extent, closely approach the society

Bad beacuse,
1, Someone will go to extreme on this such as spend to much time, indulge oneself with it
2, Might be imposed by someone unkind;
3, Might have some political concern etc.
