hire后面应该跟人而不是房子

用rent

rent强调定期支付租金这个含义，hire强调临时的租用

rent：
To obtain occupancy or use of (another's property) in return for regular payments.
租借：以定期支付价款取得对（他人财产）的占住权或使用权

hire：
To engage the temporary use of for a fee; rent:
租用：出钱暂时使用某物；租用：
hire a car for the day.
