As part of this exercise, there was a need to do salary benchmarking. Benchmarking is a process of comparing internal job characteristics with external jobs for making pay comparisons. It is also often called �°market pricing�± which is determining the �°going rate�± in relevant labour markets for positions having similar function and comparable scope of responsibility as those within the company.
