Even though Argentina was defeated by Britain in the Falklands War, they have never given up the desire to take back the sovereignty of the island.

有错误.Even though 引导的从句正确,但后面的主句的谓语动词应改为 :"have never been stopping"是现在完成进行时(The present perfect continous tense)这样语法就正确了。
