Fuel Oil System
The Wartsila Vasa 32 engine is designed for continuous operation on heavy fuel oil (HFO) as well as light fuel oil (LFO). A preheated engine can be started directly on HFO provided that the external fuel system has the correct temperature and pressure. The engine can also be stopped on HFO although the external system has to stay in operation i.e. fuel must be circulated through the stopped engine continuously for heating purposes.
The internal fuel system comprises the following equipment:
- Low pressure pipes make of steel
- High pressure pipes, double wall with common leak alarm
- Injection pumps, individual for each cylinder
- Fuel injector in each cylinder

用以运行启动燃料的压缩空气系统，有其自有的与外部启动空气系统的连接点。
内部启动空气系统包含以下设备：
- 钢制管
- 空气启动阀
- 电气动超速脱扣阀门
- 电磁阀燃油限制器
- 启动阻止阀，以保护旋转轴卡死的启动
- 起运空气分配器
- 启动空气阀在每个缸盖顶(只有V型发动机 A-bank 汽缸才有)
- 燃油限制器
- 为紧急停止系统做的空气箱
- 每个注射泵里的启动停止汽缸
