UC知道翻译当中英文字数如何计算？

我有一篇英文的文章想要翻译成法文，在翻译之前我想了解一下，翻译的字数是如何计算的，因为汉语的几十个字的句子，英文可能要少很多的．如果按照工具的统计计算，那么英文的字数少很多的，这样感觉很占便宜．希望内行回答下哦！
As you see, Chinese is counted by letters but English is counted by words. That's big different. They have the different way to count. You said you want translate in French which has a silimiar count style with English, so if you want translate English into French, you won't met that problem and there only maybe some slight different number with the two language. Not like you to translate Chinese into English.

你要是觉得过意不去，可以在翻译时多加修饰，或者干脆多用成语，那样中文字少，英文多~
