I did well in the course 是比较地道英语 (native English) 的说法，已经是书面语了。通常 perform 是用在机器上的，或是用于非常正式的说法，如在报纸新闻稿上。一本正式口语或文章，did well 会是更常用，更合适。

如果形容的是一台跑车在赛道上做出好成绩，那就说 The car performed well in the course。或强调语气来说，The car did really perform well in the course!

如果不是形容一台机器，还是不要这样说了。;>

如果是口语，比较夸张的说：My performance in the course was off the scale!!! (我在课程上的表现是爆棚的！）

I gave a good performance in this course.
比较好。

I performanced well on the course.

I performed well in the course.

I did a good performance in the course
这句话对吗? 书面语

I've achieved good results in the course.

I had great performances in the course
