Suddenly it was morning. I was sure the feeling would vanish. But it didn’t. I held on to it as I fixed Joe’s breakfast. It was still there after he kissed me good-bye. As I cleaned up the kitchen I thought, I want to make one of those handbags or at least something that reminds me of them. A pretty strange thought, since I’m not big on handbags. I had just one evening bag and it was plain, functional brown. Still, I couldn’t shake the idea. Okay, I finally decided, I’ll decorate some handbags. If they turn out awful, I’ll just toss them out.
