求解一道英语题(常做但老出错)

答案选C，但我选了B.为什么第二个空不能填where?

这是一个强调句啊
It was in the village___now is a small towm___the earthquake occurred
把It was that 去掉原句是the earthquake occurred in the village
如果没有in则是你的选项 这里强调状语

我觉得选C
因为单看这个句子
It was in the village___the earthquake occurred
前面已经有in了，所以是that

首先句子是It is...that结构,It was in the village that the earthquake occurred.看,这是个完整的句子,不缺任何成分
而village后面有个定语从句,which作先行词,代替village,做now is a small towm的主语.

It is/was...that．．．是强调句．把It is/was...that拿掉，句子仍然通顺
另外the earthquake occurred in the village．不缺介词，也不需要
which,所以选where是不对的．
