从世界上的第一份网络报纸到现在的手机报、手机电视。媒介融合的发展态势正如初生的太阳般朝气蓬勃。我国自1995年教育部主管的《神州学人》杂志和《中国贸易报》网络版的创办为起点，之后国内报纸相继开通了网络版。2000年，《北京日报》、北京电视台等九家媒体共同成立的“千龙网”新闻网站，以及上海多家媒体联合创办的“东方网”新闻网站，是传统媒体向网络媒体融合的进一步尝试。2004 年7月1日，中国妇女报推出全国第一家“手机报”——《中国妇女报—彩信版》，实现手机用户与报纸的互动。
正当媒介融合迅猛发展的同时，对与媒介融合的讨论和研究也越来越多。我们应该怎样看待当今媒介融合的现象，它的现状，它所面临的挑战和机遇，这都是我们深思的问题。
