在我奶奶当时读书的学校。 整个学校只有十几位老师。这十几位老师都不是专业的师范学校毕业的。本身的学术水平就不高。可以想象，学校的教学质量也是得不到保证的。很多老师都是兼教几个科目。比如既教数学，又教语文。但是老师们对于自己的工作是非常的认真负责的。经常在放学后还留下来给学生们补习。
当时主要开设的科目有。语文，数学。地理。 历史。农业知识。体育等等。 涉及的范围是非常的广泛的。由于只是小学的科目，所以每个科目都只是介绍一些比较简单的知识。一般来说在所有的科目中，语文和数学上课的时间是最多的。因为这是两门只要科目。其他的都是有选择的上一些课时。体育课的话，就是在学校的操场上做做体操和拍皮球的游戏。
另一个方面就是 学校的设施了。当时整个学校的设施都是非常的简陋的。整个学校就是一个破烂的房子。下雨的时候可能还会漏雨进来。在每个教室里面，每两个同学共同使用一张课桌。而且课桌一般都是很破的。学校也没有餐厅和任何的运动设施以及图书馆之类的。在教室里面没有安装电灯。只要在光线不好的时候就不能够正常的上课。
学校的教学时间是一个星期上五天半的课，然后休息一天半。每天从早上九点开始上课。到下午五点结束。
