1.A表示过去不知道你在北京，现在问了才知道，在问的前一刻还是不知道的。B的had been错了，过去完成时的时态不对。这里的were跟的是didn't know的时态。同理C，D都是错的了。
2.C换成doesn't也是不对的。do后接动词，be后接形容词。D也错，错在没有了谓语动词。
3when和while都有当……的时候。但是while有正当……的时候，动词用现在式。while还可以表示转折。
4.failed表示的是结果。现在的结果。现在的结果是有过去的事项导致的，因而用现在完成时。
5.后半句的意思是要在书中找到一个漂亮的款式。shape是形状，style是款式，kind是类型，suit是套、副、组的意思。ACD用在这里都不合适。
