摘 要：自从上世纪80年代美国报人纽哈斯提出了“希望新闻“理论以来，这种新兴的新闻理论一直受到了新闻界的广泛关注。欧美各家媒体对“希望新闻”理论的成功运用也在不断的完善和推动着这一理论的发展。本文旨在分析“希望新闻”理论的内涵，找到当代中国媒体的新闻报道中存在的各种问题，为“希望新闻“理论在中国媒体中的发展，为中国媒体未来的发展提供一些思路。“希望新闻”理论是与“和谐社会”相契合的，是中国媒体未来发展的一个正确的方向。
