离圣诞节还有两个月了，9岁大的阿米罗丝告诉她爸爸和我他她想要一辆新的脚踏车，因为她现在的车车太旧也需要修理了。

我们买了些故事书，一个玩具屋，一件假期穿的小礼服和一大堆玩偶。但是出乎我们意料的是，阿米在平安夜告诉我们她最最想要的还是一辆脚踏车。我们不知该如何是好，现在一切都来不及了。我们忙着准备圣诞大餐，包装孩子们的礼物，父母的礼物，一个弟弟的礼物和一堆朋友的礼物直到深夜。所以我们根本顾不上去为我们的小家伙买“她想要的脚踏车”，但是一想到我们会让孩子因此不高兴，我们就觉得惭愧极了。
突然，我老公想到了一个好主意，“我们为什么不先做个脚踏车的陶塑模型，再告诉阿米她可以用这个模型换回一辆真正的脚踏车呢？”于是他花了接下来的五个小时用粘土做个一架小小的脚踏车。
圣诞节的清晨，我们都激动的等着阿米罗丝打开那个贴着便签的里面装着一架小小的红白相间的模型脚踏车的盒子。罗丝打开了盒子，大声的把便签上的话念了出来，她看着我和罗恩说：“这是不是说我可以用这个陶土脚踏车模型换一架真正的脚踏车呢？”我微笑着回答：“是啊。”阿米眼睛里含着泪水说：“我永远也不会换掉这架爸爸给我做的脚踏车。比起一架真正的脚踏车我更喜欢这架。”在这一刻，我们觉得我们一定能够感动上帝，让她得到世界上的每一架脚踏车。
