英语里关于什么可以省略

The substance does not dissolve in water whether (it's) heated or not.

这里的“it's”可以省略，为什么？这是用了哪个语法？谢谢，等待答复！！

由于主语是the substance 所以 从句主语也将会是这个it 代替的也是它。

这里的whether是无论的意思，这儿是状语从句。
换个词
No matter heated or not ， ……
懂了吧，前后主语一致的情况下可以省略从句的主语。

就像
having had the supper，we went out for a walk

因为主语没变所以可以省略 it是形式主语

这里的IT就是指前面的主语The substance，所以it就省略了，整个句子可以算一个条件状语从句，但是这个省略算不上语法，只是英语的习惯表达：）
