A written exposure assessment shall be made to ascertain the risk of exposure for employees to contact with blood or bodily fluids without regard to the mitigating effect of personal protective equipment. This assessment shall include a list of jobs with potential for exposure, a list of specific tasks or procedures with associated risk, and a list of persons in those jobs for inclusion in an exposure control program. Blood and bodily fluids include: blood, semen, vaginal, cerebrospinal, synovial, pleural, pericardial, peritoneal, and amniotic fluids; saliva in dental procedures; any body fluid visibly contaminated with blood; and all body fluids where it is difficult to differentiate between body fluids.
