ABSTRACT
This is a subject that about metaphrase and paraphrase and how to apply them to the passage when we writing a text. In a extent sense, metaphrase is not equal to word-for-word translation. Paraphrase is a good choice to use, because it keeps the original message form. Due to some sentence not according with the custom of target language and include some idioms. That these sentence should not translate literally.
Paraphrase is a translation skill which is active. So that translators should use paraphrase. While it also have shortcoming can not bring personal emotion to the original works. Translation must be acceptable which use paraphrase. And paraphrase skill needs extensive knowledge and culture of both source language and target language. If a translator wants to use metaphrase and paraphrase proficiently, practice is the key element in translation.

本文的主题是关于直译和意译以及如何在写作过程中运用它们。从某种意义上说，直译并不等于逐字翻译。意译是个不错的选择，因为它能保留原文的意思。由于一些句子与译入语并不一致，且其中包括一些成语。因而这些句子就不能只按照字面翻译。
意译是一种有效的翻译技巧。所以，译员应使用意译。但同时它也有缺点,那就是不能将原作品中的人物感情很好地表达出来。使用意译的翻译可以接受。同时意译需要对源语和译入语的知识和文化有一个广泛的了解。如果一个译员希望能熟练使用直译和意译，就需要在翻译过程中的多加练习。
