The Radevormwald location serves the company Gira as a centre for its main administration and production of electro-installation systems. Acquisition of a neighbouring site presented an opportunity to create new production areas at the existing location by expanding the existing plant site.
The starting point for the project was a development study. Together with the prestigious Fraunhofer Institut, plans were drawn up for the most advantageous use of the site area taking account of optimised production processes, including with regard to further expansion and building conversion measures.
A central characteristic of the two buildings, both approx. 70 metres long and with entirely glazed facades, is the equal standard of quality in workplaces for production and administration.
