一、 和谐美。色彩的和谐就是要使人的视觉产生愉悦感，更要使人的精神世界产生愉悦感，从而得到放松和升华。在报纸版面设计中标题、正文、图片、线框、刊头等版面要素的色彩运用都要注意色彩和谐的问题。尤其是标题色彩的运用，必须慎之又慎，充分注意色彩与正文内容的搭配，看色彩的视觉效果、情感效果、象征效果与正文是否相符，要有“天衣云锦用在我”的匠心。一般而言，和谐的色彩搭配有三种常见形式：一是同色系颜色的搭配，即在版面上用同一色系的色彩，仅在色彩的明度、纯度上作相应变化，如青绿、蓝绿、蓝同属中性色系，红、橙、橙黄、黄属暖色系。这些同色系的色彩相配是比较和谐统一的。二是相邻色的搭配，亦即使用色环上相邻近的颜色或使用明度、纯度相近的色彩，如黄与绿、蓝与紫的搭配。这类相邻色搭配起来，明度与纯度较为相近，给人的视觉感受相对较和谐统一。三是补色搭配。在十二种色相环中直径相对的两种颜色是互补色，如红与绿、黄与紫、蓝与橙。这些互补色按一定比例搭配在一起，对比很鲜明，能在版面上起到画龙点睛的作用。版面上以一种颜色为主，以其补色为辅，能使整个版面充满灵气，既有铺陈之章，又有点睛之笔。
