1：field是不是应该改为fields,感觉有错误
2：up from just 58 as recently as 1997是什么意思啊，up from是一个词组吗，看不懂

1 field是应该为fields，因为field当领域讲时是可数名词。
2 从1997年的58个增长到...
as recently as在这里是强调1997年离现在并不遥远，这样就强调了增长速度之快。
up from 是说从...增长到。from后面接原来的数量，up前面是现在的数量。
