随着我国向市场经济的成功转型和全球经济一体化浪潮的不断推进，企业之间的竞争日益市场化、激烈化。越来越多的企业逐渐意识到企业之间的竞争不仅是财力的竞争，而且还有企业之间管理方法的比拼。其中管理方法有很多种，企业员工激励就是很重要的一种。所谓员工激励就是创造满足员工各种需要的条件，激发员工的动机，使之产生实现组织目标的特定行为的过程。调动员工的积极性是企业管理的永恒主题，也是提高效率和效益的关键环节。员工激励是调动员工积极性的主要手段，通过激励机制的运作，一方面使已经就职的员工最充分地发挥技术和才能，变消极为积极，从而保持工作的有效性和高效性。另一方面又可以进一步激发员工的创造性的创新精神，从而大大提高工作绩效。员工激励是公司员工流动机制的动力，通过员工激励机制的运作，将有才能的、公司所需要的人才吸引过来，并长期为公司工作；将不适应公司工作的人员逐渐分离出去。员工激励是提高员工素质的有力杠杆，任何值得奖励的行为都是员工素质优异的表现，也是员工素质提高的证明，奖励这种行为，相应地是进一步鼓励员工自觉地提高各方面的素质。激励大体分为物质激励和精神激励两种，每种激励都有特别的用途，我们国资公司把物质激励和精神激励结合的比较好，因而我们的公司发展的比较好。
