The line graph above illustrates that the prices of steel per ton have fluctuated over the fifteen years from 1980 to the year 2004.The accompanying bar chart represents the top five steel producing countries throughout the world.
From the line graph we can find out how the steel prices fluctuate during the fifteen years.In 1980, the amount of dollars paid for one ton of steel was about 250 dollars. Then it began to go up and reached a higher point at over 400 dollars per ton in around the year 1987.Soon after that, there was a big drop in the steel prices until 1988 and then it rocketed up to reach the peak at more than 450 dollars in 1990.However, after a few fluctuation it fell to the bottom at just over 200 dollars in 2004.
