然而目前我国英语口语教学却为得到充分的正视，其原因是应试教育不包括口语，加上缺乏口语的语言环境等因素，国内许多学者注意到这一问题，并对此进行了相关研究。
本文将分为三个部分，第一部分叙述了初中英语口语的现状，并对此现状进行了简单的分析，第二部分阐述了英语口语教学的集中传统教学方法，如背诵课文，情景对话，看英文电影，学英文歌曲等。 第三部分将引进一种新的英语口语教学模式---RAP教学，笔者以晋城市凤台中学初二学生为实验对象，对RAP教学方法的可行性进行研究。
本文中，由于受时间，精力所限，未能就RAP教学模式进行深入研究，并且所设计的RAP教学模式在特定的班级中进行试用和效果评估，难以对其推广价值做出科学的评价，但笔者真心希望借助本文抛砖引玉，引发更多专业人士对该领域的思考和探索。
