Foreign Trade Dependence Ratio (FTDR) is an indicator of the closeness of the relationship between one country's general economy and its foreign trade. Arguments on trade benefits are based on the analysis on this indicator to a certain extent. Generally, globalization improved FTDR in each country, especially in developing countries. Undoubtedly, economic development need foreign trade for its industrilization and improvement of people's income. What benefits and damage a super-high FTDR can bring to a country? This essay is to dwell on that issue and propose a few suggestions.
