17.1) This Contract is subject to the U.S. Shipping Act of 1984, as amended by the Ocean Shipping Reform
Act of 1998, and shall otherwise be construed and governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey,
except for its choice of law rules.
17.2) In the event of a dispute under this Contract, the parties to the dispute shall attempt to resolve it amicably by direct good faith negotiations between a senior executive of each such party.
