as...as to...结构用于陈述句肯定结构，否定结构需要用so...as to...另外as...as to...和so...that...的区别在于前者的主语为同一个，后者的主语和that从句中的主语可以不一样，但是这里主要是否定句中用so代替as这样的考点
这里考察的是so..that的结构的意义理解（‘太....以致于’）。第一句很神奇，和原句一模一样！自然很正确。
D用as...as意思是‘与...一样’。
对比两个结构的逻辑含义应该可以看出，原文说的是‘...不至于太坚硬而使得乌龟挖不了坑...'；而D表达的意思是‘和挖坑的难度一样大...'。很明显句意和逻辑上都是错的。
B的结构是 adj+enough +to do sth，其中的adj表示的往往是由于具这种性质而使得后面的to do sth成为可能。
C是so as to的分裂结构，表示的是目的
E是语法错误
只说下A和D。
D的错误在于比较对象的不对称。as...as...是一个典型的讲究逻辑对称的比较结构。比较的2者必须严格的在语法上，逻辑上，都对称，也就是说，要可比。
在D当中。it is not as hard as to make....
it 是代词，指代的是material
material是1个名词，在D当中，和他比较的是to make..这个不定式结构。这是必然错的。
其实这道题重要的是考平行结构,请注意A中的or表示前后句子是平行的
