This article mainly analyses Haikou’s climatic elements of nearly 20 years before and after the establishment of the province in terms of average temperature, relative humidity and also other information over the same period , such as the urban forestation rate, urbanization level and urban hard surface areas, and comes to the conclusion that the urban development of Haikou has caused not only changes in the atmospheric composition, but also the effects of increasing annual average temperature and the downtrend of relative humidity as well. By applying the multiple regression analysis, the article also sets up a mathematical model of correlative factors for climatic elements and urban development, in order to further reveal the inherent law of urban development and the trend of climatic changes.
